Ayudasoft LLC was established in 2005 by seasoned international development and media professionals to create software solutions responsive to the evolving challenges confronting both large and small organizations alike. Ayudasoft offers non-profits unique platforms for creating proposals, outcomes models and media that can be used stand-alone or as part of integrated database networks. Ayudasoft is not simply a company created for professionals in the non profit sector, but is more importantly a company created by professionals with superior track records of success working within and for a broad spectrum of non profits and foundations. Our comprehensive understanding of the existing needs and current software limitations within the non profit sector motivated us to create tools which uniquely and intuitively capture programmatic information and media to better serve and benefit both internal and external stakeholders.
John-Michael Maas, Principal
Maas has worked in a combination of sectors that, in retrospect, were the perfect lead-in to Ayudasoft's multi-disciplinary approach. Maas founded
Darby Communications where he has worked with a wide range of clients from the global health, corporate and entertainment sectors.
Over the last five years, Darby Communications has established itself as a leading provider of sophisticated communications tools for non-profit organizations including the TB Alliance, World Health Organization, Scojo Foundation, Stop TB Partnership, and the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS.
Maas has diverse experience in media and entertainment. As a vice-president at Paramount Pictures, Maas developed feature films such as Wayne's World, Tommy Boy, Leap of Faith and Frankie & Johnnie. After serving as senior VP of Mario Kassar's MK Productions and as a producer for MGM/Trilogy Entertainment, Maas founded Darby Films, writing and producing film & television.
In 2000, Maas began a column for Publisher's Weekly on cross-media business development trends, including books, film & tv, video games and licensed merchandise. He consults for companies that are trying to expand their cross-media presence.
Maas joined ITVR, a branding and media company, as Managing Parner in 2001. Clients included Johnnie Walker, AOL Advanced Services and Diageo. In 2003, Maas launched Darby Communications to bring a fresh, narrative-driven perspective to corporate, non-profit and government communications.
Greg Van Kirk, Principal
Greg Van Kirk is the co- founder and president of
Social Entrepreneur Corps ("SE Corps"),
New Development Solutions ("NDS") as well as the co-founder and executive director of
Community Enterprise Solutions ("CE Solutions").
These are all very highly integrated ventures. SE Corps offers social entrepreneurship training and volunteering programs in rural Guatemala. NDS is a US S-Corporation that provides consulting services, designs and builds websites and offers strategic planning and training services to NGO's and developing world micro-enterprises. CE Solutions is a non-profit that creates rural small businesses and educational enterprises with local stakeholders in Guatemala to solve long-standing health, educational and communications problems.
Greg began working in rural small business development as a Peace Corps volunteer in 2001. Greg has served as an economic development consultant for USAID, Chemonics, Scojo Foundation, Soros Foundation, Church World Service, OneRoof, Fundacion Solar and Water4People.
He was an investment banker for five years before arriving in Guatemala. Two deals he led at UBS during this time won "Deal of the Year" honors from "Structured Finance International" magazine.
He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Miami University in 1991. Greg currently splits time between Antigua, Guatemala and New York City.
